IoT Systems Group is a company formed in 2016 in London, the largest city in Europe and the capital of the UK.

We use IoT to sense and discover, abstraction to normalise, visualisation to see, workflow to control and machine learning to shift through complexity. We provide low cost, high value and scalable technology.

IoT Systems Group is a leader in comprehensive, data-driven management solutions that use the power of real-time data collection, big data analytics and edge computing to maximise energy savings, operational efficiency, capital utilisation and drive towards the benefits of increased sustainability.

Our Group has grown quickly and we now have satellite offices in France and the Middle East.

Jason Plent
Jason Plent is CEO and Founder of IoT Systems Group. He started the Company in 2016 and it has enabled him to bring his interest in disruptive technology to the fore and use it as a force for growth. Even during these first two years the Company has changed dramatically, securing two exclusive deals to become a provider at the forefront of digital transformation. The Company is now recognised as a leader in discovery and interoperability in the UK and MENA regions, but more importantly as a partner for good able to steer clients in the direction of efficiency. The tool set has grown, especially in partnership with IoT.nxt, but the focus has always been to help clients tackle their most pressing business challenges using new technology.

Within the Company, Jason cultivates a culture of curiosity and empowers the team to develop innovative solutions for clients. Although the industry 4.0 revolution is still in its infancy the ambition is to create a strong business capable of withstanding the pressures of extreme growth.

Jason also sits of the Board of Nonsuch Asset Management and for many years now has been a business mentor for the University of Aberdeen. Happy to talk at a moment’s notice, Jason has hosted sessions on the power of technology to transform and will chat for hours on everything from resource scarcity to blockchain.

Jason is based in South-West London and has recently acquired a dog.

Richard Jowsey
Richard Jowsey COO and Founder of BenefitFM Consulting joined forces with IoT Systems Group in 2017 to drive strategic value from the innovative use of Industrial IIoT 4.0 and NILM (Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring) for energy disaggregation. A visionary with an international consultant/disrupter background he has a passion to transform business as usual using technology to Surface Data, Transform, Assure, Optimise and Save Money. He has worked with international blue-chip organisations both in the Uk and MENA to deliver efficiency solutions.

Richard is a regular Blogger that ignites debate, challenges the status quo and brings a smile to those in the know. He is creative, spontaneous, exciting and an energetic leader with a thirst to make great people and businesses exceptional. He provides an environment to think creatively and to deliver highly effective industry solutions.

Richard’s downtime is spent at the family home in Southwest France undertaking renovation works, gardening, cooking and dreaming up new workflow solutions for how technology will disrupt business delivery.

Adnan Mortada
Adnan underwent his PhD at the University of Cambridge, supervised by Dr. Ruchi Choudhary and Professor Kenichi Soga. Before starting his PhD, he completed a masters degree in Energy Technologies at Cambridge University, where he worked on integration of novel building technologies in the Kew Garden and Cambridge University Botanical Garden Green Houses. He obtained a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering at the American University of Beirut, where his final year project focused on redesigning workers’ cloth in open workspaces, with the aim of improving their thermal comfort and productivity. His PhD topic dealt with mitigating overheating problems encountered by the London Underground during summers. He is worked with Transport for London on extracting the wasted heat dissipated in the soil by the subway system through the use of geothermal boreholes, with the aim of cooling the London Underground while providing energy efficient district heating and cooling to the buildings above.

He is also one of the co-founders of SMAP energy, an emerging smart meters analytics company that provides innovative data analytics service to energy retailers. SMAP has expanded worldwide and has clients in the UK, Japan, Lebanon, and the UAE.

Adnan is excited about applying the knowledge he acquired in renewable energy and smart cities during his studies to cutting edge Business transformation IOT solutions in several sectors.

During his spare time, he practices dance sport, and participates in competitions. He also, has a passion for nature photography, and enjoys playing the violin.
Carlos Younes
Carlos holds an MPhil in Sustainable Development from the Universtiy of Cambridge, focusing on efficiency of resource usage, and a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from the American University of Beirut. He has extensive experience in the engineering and supply chain departments in the Oil & Gas field.
